Anna Jane Miles - Owner
I have been teaching Pilates for over seven years and practicing it myself for more than a decade. I’m passionate about Pilates and all things health and wellness. I truly believe Pilates is for everyone and has the power to change your life for the better in so many ways.
When I'm not at the studio my life is my family. My husband, children and I love to potter around at home gardening. And favourite place to be is in the South Island together.

I have been teaching Pilates for four years and love the way it builds strength and supports mobility so gracefully. I plan my classes to push my clients, help tone and always deliver that burn!
Outside of the studio you will find me looking much less put together chasing after my three young children, enjoying a coffee, cooking, or spending quality time with my friends and family.

I’ve been teaching Pilates for over 15 years, with a background in dance that first sparked my love of movement. Pilates quickly became something I connected with being such an effective way to build control, move with more ease, and feel more at home in your body.
I’ve taught in studios across Melbourne, London, and Auckland, and over the years I’ve developed a teaching style that’s supportive, focused, and designed to challenge you in all the right ways. Alongside teaching, I’m the co-owner of mvm. Pilates and Training, where I love mentoring new instructors and supporting them as they grow in confidence and refine their teaching.

My Pilates journey began through my work as a physiotherapist. I was constantly looking for ways to help my clients move with more ease, feel stronger, and prevent injury, and I kept coming back to recommending Pilates.
What started as a clinical tool quickly became something I personally loved and believed in. It’s such an intelligent, effective method. In my spare time… I’m cooking, taking French lessons or planning my next trip.

I love a Pilates class that leaves me feeling longer and stronger than when I arrived, so I always plan my classes to deliver on both of those points! You’ll see plenty of strong and long lunge and plank sets from me.
When I’m not teaching Pilates, I’m running a women’s nutrition and wellness consultancy. I love supporting people in all aspects of their health, from movement to nourishment and everything in between!

I’m a passionate and experienced movement teacher with a background not just in Pilates, but also in yoga, breathwork, and meditation. My classes blend strength, control, and mindfulness—specifically designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll likely find me on the golf course, which is why I’m especially excited to be leading the Golf Reformer Series at AJP. This series offers a fun, functional approach to movement that helps golfers feel stronger, more mobile, and more in control—both on and off the course.

With a background in ballet, Pilates felt like a natural next step for me. I was drawn to the way it blended movement and mindfulness, which led me to begin teaching barre and reformer Pilates.
What I love most about teaching is the energy and sense of community in the room, especially when you’re doing those last 8 pulses! Outside Pilates and my desk job, you’ll find me at the beach, exploring new wine bars, or planning my next overseas adventure.

I have enjoyed doing Pilates since 2017, drawn to how it challenges you during class but leaves you feeling stronger and more aligned afterwards. It’s helped me tremendously with posture and overall well-being, and now, as an instructor, I’m excited to help others feel the same benefits. Outside of my 9–5 and the Pilates studio, I love catching up with friends and bonding over music and films with some good food.

Shani Dickins
I’ve been teaching Pilates for 12 years, with a movement background that began in Contemporary Dance and even included a stint in Muay Thai. These days, alongside Pilates, I also teach trauma-informed Somatics, a body-first approach to healing trauma.
Pilates has always been my constant. I love the endless learning, especially on the Reformer, and aim to create classes that are inclusive, challenging, and fun. Expect to feel safe, strong, and maybe a little spicy, but never too serious. I’m all for a good laugh (and the occasional bad joke) mid-class. Outside the studio, you’ll find me being creative at home, out at a gig or theatre show, or chasing after my baby girl, who keeps me on my toes.

I’ve been a movement teacher for three years now, and am slightly obsessed with learning about bodies and how they move.. I come from a running background, and was led into pilates to manage injury. I fell in love with the sense of community, the way it challenged me, and ultimately the way it made me feel! Along with university level study in physiology, I have training in yoga, barre, pilates, and strength.
I enjoy designing classes that are fun, that challenge, and that are inclusive. And that makes you feel more connected and with a better understanding of your own body!

I’ve been practising Pilates for over 10 years and teaching for the past five. I love the way Pilates challenges both the body and mind. My classes focus on technique, flow, and that full-body burn that leaves you feeling energised long after class.
Outside of the studio, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, chasing after my two young kids, grabbing a coffee, or getting outdoors whenever I can.
